Maintenance Technician III - Roanoke

Supervises and participates in the work of a crew engaged in a variety of maintenance and construction activities. Performs skilled work in the operation or repair of several types of motorized equipment or maintenance of facilities and/or equipment. Discuss job requirements and receives detailed instructions from supervisor. Inspects work in progress to ensure conformance with instructions. Makes and adjusts work assignments. Requisitions necessary equipment and materials. Maintains accurate log sheets and checklists. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to five years experience and/or training in the trades area assigned; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of a valid appropriate driver's permit issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Preferred plumbing experience or journeymans plumbing certificate. Depending on area of assignment, may require possession of a valid appropriate Class A, B or C commercial driver's license. May require Pesticide Applicator License.
